Complimentary appraisal, immediate offer and immediate payment. Here are the creations we look for as a priority.
Necklaces, bracelets and earrings, in mother-of-pearl, onyx, malachite or diamonds.
Rings, bracelets and gold bangles, gold-beaded or gem-set.
Flower jewellery in gold and diamonds.
Flower and bird clips, and antique gem-set pieces.
Mystery Set pieces, in ruby or sapphire.
Signed vintage and high jewellery creations.
Born on Place Vendôme in 1906, the house has created designs that are recognisable at first glance. Here they are, from the earliest to the most recent.
A technique patented in 1933: calibré-cut rubies or sapphires slid onto gold rails, with no visible claws. The technical signature of the house.
A supple bracelet of gold bricks; the hexagonal mesh followed in 1935. A 1930s piece to show us before making any decision.
A jewellery watch with a double snake chain and a padlock-shaped clasp.
A snake chain with detachable flower clips, which can be worn in several ways.
Clips of little winged fairies as early as 1941, ballerinas from the same period, then the Inséparables birds in 1944.
A necklace in the form of a zip, which closes up into a bracelet; conceived in the 1930s, realised in 1950.
The four-leaf clover edged with gold beads, created in 1968 as a yellow gold sautoir. Mother-of-pearl, onyx, malachite, carnelian or diamonds.
The polished gold petals of Frivole (2003), the beaded gold of Perlée (2008): recent creations, which we buy just as we do older ones.
Clip, ring, necklace: without a model name, a Van Cleef & Arpels piece is recognised by its signature, serial number, hallmarks and workmanship.
Have you already photographed your piece? Send us that same image: we will tell you what it is, then arrange an appointment.
The whole piece, in daylight and without flash, then the signature, the serial number and the hallmarks — often inside the band or on the reverse.

To 22 rue Drouot, by appointment. The firm offer is made on the piece itself; payment follows agreement, the same day.
Your photographs are neither published nor passed on. Remote appraisal, in detail · Consignment or direct sale? (in French)
We look at these six points in your presence, then make a firm offer.
Alhambra, Perlée, Frivole for recent pieces; clips, Zip, Mystery Set for antique ones, which are assessed separately.
For an Alhambra piece: Vintage, Magic or Sweet, number of motifs, length of the necklace or sautoir.
White or grey mother-of-pearl, onyx, malachite, carnelian, gold, diamonds: each material has its own market, and its condition matters — cracked mother-of-pearl shows.
“VCA” or “Van Cleef & Arpels”, the serial number and the hallmarks authenticate the piece; they are read in your presence.
A worn beaded border, a marked chain, a scratched stone: we appraise the piece as it is. Have nothing polished or repaired before you come.
They add value to the piece, without being essential.

Yes: clips, brooches, Ludo bracelets, Mystery Set pieces, Cadenas watches, with or without a box. Show them to us before making any decision.
By the signature, the serial number and the hallmarks, then by the workmanship: weight, fit, setting, quality of the mother-of-pearl or hardstone. Everything is checked in-house, in your presence.
It depends on the line — Alhambra, Perlée, Frivole — or the period, the material, the stones and the condition. We do not give a figure without having seen the piece: a photograph is enough for a first opinion, within 24 hours, then the firm offer is made across the table.
Yes, in yellow, rose or white gold, with or without diamonds, with or without a box.
Yes. Fairy, ballerina and flower clips, Mystery Set pieces: these creations from the 1930s to the 1960s are sought after. Show us the clip before making any decision.

Verifiable facts, reviewed in October 2026. In any specific case, the appointment settles the matter.
Most pieces bear the Van Cleef & Arpels signature, or VCA, and an engraved serial number. On the earliest pieces, the maker's mark is often that of the workshop that made them for the house: this is customary, not an anomaly.
From the front, no claws: the grooved stones slide onto fine gold rails. On the reverse, this network of rails appears; that is where the technique is verified.
Three sizes of Alhambra clover: Vintage, the original 1968 size; Magic (2006), which combines several sizes; Sweet (2007), the smallest. Size, material and number of motifs affect the price.
We tell you what you have, then what we offer you for it: a firm offer, settled the same day. The decision remains yours.
